Changes since last version: (By Paul Corner)
BDI-2.20b has been updated with the latest EMC
sources, along with revised documentation. A couple of new packages have been
added to improve security. -b version also has small script fix that fixes
 some of the desktop shortcuts.

It's quite large, about 550MB, so it's going to take a while to download. ISO-image is made with XCDRoast, an linux CD-burning software. Image should also be usable in Windows-machines with proper CD-writing software. In Linux, you can write image using commandline as follows:

cdrecord -v speed=8 dev=1,0,0 -pad -data bdiemc-2.18.iso

where speed and dev parameters are edited to match your CDR-configuration.

There is also anonymous ftp-access available at ftp://yty.net

MD5

MD5 is a method for checking the file-integrity. In Linux, you can check it with

md5sum bdiemc.iso

It will print some checksum and it should be same as above. If not, try checking again and downloading it again.
For Windows, you can download MD5 from http://www.fourmilab.ch/md5/. In Linux, MD5 should come with the distribution. Just make sure to install "textutils-XXXX.rpm" file if in RedHat based distribution.

You can find more distribution sites and people behind BDI from "official" BDI EMC site at www.linuxcnc.org.

Logos for cd-covers

You can download logo for your cd-cover as TIFF (8 Mb, 300x300dpi), JPG (1.5 Mb, 300x300dpi), or as a small JPG (abt. 30kt, 75x75dpi). The logo is scanned from "original" BDI-EMC CD.
