Sailing

Our sailboat Selma

Our sailboat has given us many nice memories. Mainly we sail at Näsijärvi lake, near Tampere. We dream about sea, and going to other countries with Selma. But first, we must learn to sail at inland lakes, like Näsijärvi is.

• Type Guy 22, manufactured 1984 in Finland
• 6.5 m x 2.5 m
• 1.5 tons
• 1.3 m depth

It's a great boat for beginners like us. Stable and plenty of room inside. Not so quick, tops about 6.5 kn, limited at that point by hull-desing. But plenty of speed for us, we are not in hurry, at least not when we are sailing.
